ASSIGNMENT – GODZILLA

For my assignment I decided to expand on the RBD building destruction I did for our Live Brief group project.

I wanted to dive deeper into combining different fractures and creating my own constraints between them. This way I can have the building and its glass fracture differently, but still interact with each other.

FIRST TEST

This was my initial proof of concept using the building that I had modelled for the Live Brief assignment.

I was happy with how this turned out, so I then created a new building with glass in Maya, and textured it in Substance Painter.

Unfortunately the render was extremely slow, so despite rendering for 24+ hours I didn’t have time to render the full animation in karma, the rest is filled in with a flipbook render.
