Week – 1

We imported a model of a skeleton

that we had to make with a mocap

 

The way it works is: import the model, select all parts going to character  automocap,

Then we have fun with a monster

 

Begining of making the robot

I went to different ideas , the main idea was to create a robot similar to MegaMan – this is a robot from  Game developer – Capcom

I found a 3D model that I wanted to imitate in Maya

Stated to apply different material for tests `

and used the James mocup but it did work well because of skiing.

 

 

 

 

 

This is my mocap from school that I apply before starting texturing the model

I have also try to model the same robot in Z-brush 

Then slightly changed the model to fit better with the bones and joints  and textured it substance painter with steel materials

The robot has all different parts

 

Then I brought the models back to Maya where I applied the new materials materials and lighted the scene.

once I got the render

I have rendered all needed passed to Import in nuke in a later stage

 

 

 

I had to change the model a couple of times to make it work and I de-light the scene again with a new camera  

I choose Michael Jackson’s dance

Here is the new working version and vision

And I have a plan to show the animation and to comp on the shot with MJ

Rigging and creature:

 

 

making the model from Zspheres with adaptive skin

 

 

Creating the head and eyes separately in zbrush with polypaint

 

Polypaint of the mantis

 

 

 

Paiting the weights and adding IK controls to the model

making the control and lights, animation, and attaching the main control to catch the rotation of the platform.
