Sooo, first show down. New bruises and more little injuries throughout the cast, but we made it. And they liked it. Standing ovations for minutes. It was a great feeling but what’s even better, is that the audience is often just not there anymore. I can remember when I was smaller and on stage, the audience was always there, I could see them and I could feel them all the time. I played for them and hoped that I would remember my lines so I don’t make a fool out of myself.
But somehow this changed. They are not there, for most of the time. Actually, when I’m on stage a lot just stops and is not there anymore which now makes it really hard to recall how it went. I guess it went great because I had so much fun that I would just do it again and well, we got the right reaction in the end for me to say that. Let’s see what the critics will say and if they agree with the audience.
It was a good opening night, no mistakes that I am aware of, no missed lines and no tech problems. A good start to hopefully a great run.
If this how it feels, I am 100% in it for good 😊
