Character Animation

Week 1:

This was one of the initial exercises we did this week, this is helps practice with timing in animation. It is also useful to practice some of the rules of animation such as squash and stretch, it is important to maintain an average size and always go back to the original shape of the object at certain moments if not the animation will look weird and not like a proper ball.

This is a continuation of the first exercise but this time we made the animation look more realistic. It is a different, yet slightly harder, exercise to continue to practicing the same rules of animation.

This was the final exercise and the most complex one, it is similar to the 3rd exercise, but this time, the wall it bounces against responds to the ball. I personally made the wall slightly slide when it hits the wall, this is because when watching reference videos I noticed that when the object falls it traps some air under the flat surface and that makes it slide.
