Week 10: Nuke Maya Pipeline

Assignment 1

Step 1: imported the footage and added the camera details based on survey data

Step 2: Added the tracking markers

Step 3: cal from scratch to tune my tracking points and the data on my deviation browser.

Step 4: Adjusted the parameters by adjusting the focal length by brute force cal followed by adjusting the lens distortions by brute force cal.

Step 5: Added the constraints and locators.

Step 6: Added the 3d model and lined in up in the shot.

Step 7: Exported the files of the geo locators,3d model and the lens destortion data in nuke format to continue with the cleanup of the exit sign.

I lost the screenshots of my work done in nukeX that i took in class while doing the assignment but i had the file of the nuke scripts so the errors are from the 3de plugins not working on my personal computer.

Final: i had problems with the reformat node alot in nuke and there were alot of glitches and i atempted to get the patch to stay in place but i was unsuccessful in acheiving that and had tried all possible scenarios (i had resorted to trial and errors with the reformat node and the card node).

Assignment 2 :

Applied all the same procedures done in assignment 2 and continued in maya to add the 3d assests of my own choosing showcasing traffic cones and metal barricade placed in front of the car.

After 3de I added my footage in maya to place the items into the scene.

Added direct light to get the shadows and a plane at the bottom with AIshadowmatte.

Nuke scripts:

Added the maya render of the 3d assets in th merge2 node and renedered the final video. I wasnt sure why the assets seem white and i think my mistake was that the lights added in maya had too much exposure and i was unable to fix it in time.

Final render:
