The jab “does not suggest” any link to blood clots says health secretary Matt Hancock, following the suspension of the British made vaccine in 13 countries. This came after links were made between the Astra Zenica vaccine and blood clots which could have health implications for elderly people seeking the Covid-19 jab.

However, despite concerns 17 million doses already used in both UK and Europe with less than 40 blood clots being reported. To dampen the publics concerns Mr Hancock also stated that regulators such as MHRA, WHO, and the European agencies all believed the vaccine is safe and can be used freely.

Furthermore, the EU’s regulator on the subject the European Medicines Agency (EMA) is stating that a finding on an investigation surrounding the link between blood clots and the vaccine should be released on Thursday.
