Today’s PMQ’s began in a “collegiate” sprit, focusing on the issue of MP safety and harmful online material after the murder of conservative Sir David Amess, in what is being classified as a terror attack. Leader of the opposition Keir Starmer MP began by questioning Prime Minister Boris Johnson about the issue of a proposed online safety bill, in the face of a rise in harmful content online on platforms such as Instagram and Telegram.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson followed Kier Starmer’s initial questioning with a statement on homelessness, saying that no one should be criminalised for being homeless, that he was prepared to remove the Vagrancy Act of 1824 that makes rough sleeping a crime.
