ActForEaling says borough needs to do more to combat climate change

By Joshua Lopez, Climate Reporter

Local climate change charity ActForEaling still believes more should be done in the borough of Ealing to combat climate change and sustainability in the wake of the COP26 meeting.

David Mepham from the organization highlighted improvements in the local area on the climate change front with the introduction of a ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone), but also warned of concerns from the charity on the deviation of money towards opening new coal mines, and funding the fossil fuel industry.

When surrounding the other talking points on sustainability, Mepham also mentioned the inclusion of more charging points for electric cars in the Ealing area. Helping to nurture the phase out of diesel and petrol cars in the area is something the charity is passionate about.
