In the highlight of the global UN conference COP 26, the Natural history museum has been displaying the exhibition ”Our broken Planet: How we got here and ways to fix it’. It opened in three stages across 2021, with the new section exploring the climate emergency.
The exhibition tells the story of how human impact changed nature and the world. What they aim is to create a dialogue with their visitors and the over 40 thought-provoking objects chosen by the museum’s scientists to explore the damage that we have caused to the environment.
Through interactive activities, they offer solutions on how to change our habits and lower our carbon footprint as individuals. For example, we should reduce meat consumption and substitute it with other sources of protein such as insects, jellyfishes, and seaweed.
The museum’s collaboration with the design agency The Liminal Space creates an opportunity for visitors to share their thoughts on how to change our relationship with the world and share it with others in the gallery.
The exposition is completely free and will be available until late summer 2022.
