A woman became pregnant while already pregnant, she gave born to her her daughter Roselyn three weeks after her son Noah.

Doctors found out that Rebecca Robert was pregnant twice at 12 weeks gestation. The 39-year-old from Wiltshire, UK, said there was no sign of a second fetus on the first two ultrasounds after the pregnancy, but she was told in the twelfth week that she was pregnant with twins.

Superfetation occurs when an egg is released from a woman’s ovary after pregnancy and is implanted in the uterus with the first fetus some time later.

This phenomenon occurs in many animals, but is rare in humans.

What distinguishes the birth of a Noah and the Roselyn from similar cases of double pregnancy in humans is the large distance between two pregnancies (three weeks).
