Insulate Britain head back to the roads after Court Injunction

Protest Group Insulate Britain blocked the Dartford Crossing this morning.

 

The group continues to protest despite the Royal Court administering three highway injunctions placed against selected group members on Tuesday.

The Judge described the groups actions as “Dangerous and Selfish’.

 

The injunctions have been extended to November and places a ban on protestors demonstrating on the M25, Ports of Dover and other major roads around London. However, the group took to the roads once again It is expected following this Mornings demonstration that further legal action will be taken.

The protest group are largely known for blocking major roads throughout September, Causing Public outrage.The group gained excessive coverage after footage of protestors obstructing traffic at the Blackwell Tunnel in London went viral across social media.

In one piece of footage, a woman is shown pleading with group members to let her and her sick mother past to go to hospital. Leader of the group Liam Norton has justified his actions, stating that “the only way to get people to engage with the climate crisis is to disrupt them”.
