Today was our introduction to Nuke.
ABOUT NUKE –
Glossary of terms:
- Alpha Channel – A channel of information that contains alpha values (black and white 0-1 values) . In other words a matte hat has been put into a channel.
- Matte – A black and white image where the darker values represent transparency and the whiter values represent opaqueness. You would call it an alpha channel once it has been put into that channel.
- Node – This is the primary tool in Nuke for applying effects.
- Pre- comp -This is a rendered element of something in your script. If, for example, your script is very big and running slowly because you have a lots of nodes you may want to render half way down your script so that the computer will not have to compute half of the script.

When completing the task of rotoing the man’s outline every frame, I found that I struggled quite a bit hence why it came out revealing the background. I had an issue with my green screening and hope to learn a better way to do it to avoid this happening again. I will attempt this project again and amend my errors.
