Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a hardworking and conscientious individual who thrives within a theatrical environment. I have worked front of house in performance venues since the age of 17, including venues such as Derby Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall where I worked at both for two years.
I also have experience in smaller scale backstage roles. I have event managed concerts at Swanwick Hall School, where I also volunteered as a sound technician for various other projects. I have experience in directing for the Shakespeare Schools Festival as well as directing and editing my own short films.
Whilst studying Musical Theatre at the London College of Music I was employed by The Questors Theatre, Ealing, as a teaching assistant for aged 9-11 years and 14-15 years. In addition to this, I also have teaching experience from assisting in after school drama clubs and teaching other extra curricular activities.
Finally, part of the skill-set that I have built for myself includes a work experience placement at 1623 Theatre (Shakespearean theatre company), shadowing the creative director in order to learn about the requirements of producing theatre. Amongst many skills I was taught, I learnt how to create business plans and established good marketing techniques.
I believe that I am a great candidate for your advertised role and with my wealth of skills I would be a beneficial asset to your team.
Kind Regards,
Oliver Wood
