Over the course of the year I have contacted over 60 agencies but the following 5 are the agencies that I believe are best suited to me:
Keddie Scott Associates – I believe that this agency is most suited to me as they represent both musical theatre actors and actor musicians. I have seen a lot of their clients in musicals and actor-muso plays all across the country. Another reason I have chosen them is due to the fact that they have books for London based actors and Northern based actors (I have homes both in London and in the North and so I could potentially be placed on both sets of books).

Stevenson Withers Associates – I have been in conversation with Stevenson Withers since early on within the academic year. I was originally drawn to them as they represent an actress I met whilst working at Derby Theatre (She was currently in the Horrible Histories stage tour). I would love to do work with the Birmingham Rep, especially on their Horrible Histories plays and so I believe that this agency would have the correct contacts for me to be seen for the work I want to do. The same actress is now on tour with a professional musical which has affirmed to me that this agency would be a good fit. They also represent LCM alumni which makes this agency seem promising to me.

Creative Artists Management – ‘CAM’ are a rather large agency with a lot of clientele which usually has negative connotations of actors not having enough attention from their agents, however their clients are continuously working in all corners of the industry. I don’t want to limit my career to only stage work and that is why I believe ‘CAM’ would be good for me. They also represent casting directors and directors and so I also believe that some inside employment probably occurs as it would be in the agency’s best interest to have the creatives that they represent also employ the performers that they represent, creating work for all involved.

Curtis Brown – Curtis Brown are a very large agency and perhaps not the best to look at in terms of starting my career as I probably need to be more well established within the industry for them to consider me for representation. With this said, I do have two friends of the same age with less experience than myself who are on their books.
Curtis Brown represent actors for all disciplines within the industry, especially within British television. I don’t believe that they have anyone that shares the same casting as me and so I think I would be a great asset to their books.

Simon How Agency – The reason I think that Simon How Agency are well suited to me is due to their connections at Derby Theatre. Josh Boyd Rochford represents Esme Sears who is an actress who performs in the majority of Derby Theatre’s home produced productions. Like me she is Derbyshire born but trained in London. From this I deduce that I would perhaps be able to live at home (for financial reasons) but Josh would be able to find me local and accessible work.
