Data gathered from research suggested different themes when using online assessment and feedback which could be used to inform our scenarios and prototype. We focus on 4 different themes: Context, Agency, Analytics and Transparency and Visualisation and Accessibility. Each focus group will be organised based on a theme and thus all the narrative will try to adhere to this theme.
We have also identified an initial name for the prototype – Submit-it. This is a prototype designed to forge discussions and critique.
For each theme there will be a series of screenshots from Submit-it (below in the picture) which hopefully will hopefully illustrate what it is to submit and engage in the process of assessment and feedback in the tool. The scenarios available are illustrated and contextualised by a narrative which introduced John Chu and Ayesha, the student and the teacher in this scenario.
Focus groups will be delivered to staff and students so they can critique and discuss the provided scenario. Our goal is that they will focus each theme, reflect on their practice and try to provide new design and feature solutions.
