Yr2 Character Animation
week 1: introduction animation bouncing ball
using ‘S’ will set a key frame on the timeframe
what we did was use multiple balls as different balls such as a basketball, tennis ball, bowling ball, and a bouncy ball and animating them to the weight or the way they bounce.
for these we started to use the animation visualizer to now help us animate the ball like pencil and ghost.
Week 2:
The large yellow circle enclosing the entire rig marks the placement for the initial key.
Begin by setting a key for each part of the RIG.
Enabling auto-keying may simplify the process.
Always refer to the animation graph.
small animation exercise

week 3: arm and leg animation
playing around with hand rigging.
leg animation
we started by making blocks for legs in maya and then adding joints using create joints in the rigging tool
next we then used the binding tool to join the top, ankle , and feet together
we then created a circle curve to then partner with the hierarchy lines that are connected to the ankle and feet.

week 4 – walking
started by putting the hips forward and one of the leg backwards
2.
now selecting the bottom of the feet you will now bring the leg the other leg forward until the character is in a walking position.
3.
now you after doing that first and second step you just repeat it over and over again
next to make it look more natural we started from the hip and started moving it down and up to show and decrease and increase in height within the movement
now we started to add a wobble using the three circle surrounding his waist and upper body making him move side to side
using the foot settings i went to the toe life to make it look as if the heel is rising from the ground each time he takes a step.
week 7: lifting weight
