Week 01

A Brief Introduction to Houdini:

We began with learning the fundamentals of Houdini in the first session of this lesson. Once we’re comfortable with the software’s interface, we start by modeling a castle in simple terms.

Created Bricks

We chose to rotate the brick rows because they were in a straight line.

Later, after the bricks were in a straight line, we utilized the transform mode to manipulate them.

Following that, we built a structure similar to cement to fill the void.

Making Steps

Later, we used the same method to make a staircase.

Week 02

Particle Simulation

This week, we are learning how to use Houdini’s particle effects. The goal was to shoot the particles out of the charector, so we stared at it.

Bringing The character in

Subsequently, we created particles and modified their lifespan to ensure that they would not obscure the screen and could produce a desirable impact.

Houdini Ground Fracture RBD Tutorial (youtube.com)

The task assigned for this assignment was to use Houdini to simulate a natural disaster. I had the idea to create a road destruction as a result. I had followed a tutorial because it seemed to be similar to my concept.
