Opening Hours

Be aware that timetabled bookings can be scheduled from Monday to Friday. Please see individual timetables posted outside room for further information.

Printers, Hasselblad Scanners and the 3D Printer are available to book through the LSFMD SiSo booking system (please see page 20).

Paper and Tech Support available between 9:00am and 5:00pm

Weekends                   9:00am – 4:30pm

Paper not available to buy, please purchase during weekdays. Tech support not available during weekends

General Information

  • Contact the technician for advice on paper types
  • Induction is needed on all Printers and Scanners
  • All paper is purchased via The Distribution Room at discounted rates. Card payment only.
  • Laser Cutter, Fabric Printer and 3D Printer require technical supervision to use and advanced booking.
  • Files for the Digital Fabric Printer must be saved as TIFFs.
  • You must know how to use Adobe Illustrator before using the Laser Cutter.
  • Fabric is available to purchase via The Distribution Room. Card payment only.
  • Laser Cutter materials are purchased by Student via external source. Please ask technician for what materials are safe to use.

Essential kit

Portable hard drive. Data is wiped immediately after use on iMacs, see the section ‘Data Management’ later on in the handbook.

Code of conduct / Terms of use

For specific code of conduct and terms of use please see induction information. General terms of use for these rooms are as follows:

  • No food and drink allowed in the Print Bureau.
  • All machinery in the Print Bureau requires induction before booking and use.
  • The Laser Cutter, Fabric Printer and 3D Printer must not be used without
  • Only paper sold or provided by the School is allowed to be used in the Bureau Printers.
