Playful Learning
The Research in Learning Technology journal has published a special collection on Playful Learning developed from workshops held at the second Playful Learning Conference in July 2017.
If you’re interested in this area make sure you also read Anna Armstrong’s recent post on Round University Challenge; a student induction treasure hunt for journalism students at City, University of London.
Tweet of the Week
A tweet from the ExPERT Academy’s Erik Blair attracted a lot of attention on Twitter last week. Definitely the first time anyone in the team has been ‘liked’ over a 1000 times. Great advice too.
When introducing a major assignment/project, don’t vaguely ask if there are, “Any questions?” Instead ask students to work in threes to identify what success will look like (4 min) and any barriers to success (3 min). Then review as a whole class (8 min). #15minutesWellSpent
