There are several problems that might happen when using online technologies, which might cause them not to work as expected. It is often true that these problems are usually related to minor issues caused by internet connectivity. They are often resolved by refreshing your browser; however, in some common cases, these errors may be remembered/stored in your browser’s cookies and cache files. As a result, however, many times you refresh your browser, they will continue being persistent. Some of the problems are:
- Error when enrolling an instructor or other users to a module/course or community
- Turnitin not launching correctly to allow for assignments grading and feedback
- When selected, links that usually open do not
- And other examples…
To try and resolve such problems from reoccurring, we recommend trying the following guide first. In case the problems persist after trying this guidance, please let us know:
- Use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari) where you have not experienced the error before
- Clear your browser’s cookies (Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari – MacOS / Safari – iOS) and cache and try again.
- Use an incognito/private browser window and try again. Guidance on how to access this version of the browser is available in the following recording:
