This year’s conference will focus on best practice in relation to developing assessment and providing feedback to enhance student learning and the student experience. It will provide a space to discuss current challenges, share best practice and celebrate the innovations and achievements in relation to the following sub-themes:

Contributions within this theme may include (but not be limited to) authentic assessment; gamified learning; groupwork assessment; portfolio assessment; problem based assessment; project based assessment; work based assessment; assessing large cohorts; flexible assessments - Assessment design for learner success
Contributions within this theme may include (but not be limited to) programme level assessment; addressing challenges of continuation and first submission rates; timing of assessment; assessment for and of learning; assessment mapping; continuous assessment; work-integrated learning - Integrating digital tools and technologies for assessment
Contributions within this theme may include (but not be limited to) technology-enhanced peer assessment ; simulation, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and extended reality; audio/video feedback; overcoming barriers to technology-based assessment; formative assessment tools; personalised assessment - Assessment: learning communities, social justice, diversity and well-being
Contributions within this theme may include (but not be limited to) developing academic integrity and academic literacies through assessment ; partnership in assessment and feedback (student voice); student engagement in assessment; inclusive assessment methods; equitable access to quality assessment; alternative assessment; helping students understand feedback practices; using plagiarism detection tools to teach academic integrity; self-assessment; peer-to-peer assessment; international perspectives in assessment and feedback practice
