Currently on number 28, SEDA is publishing a series of 53 powerful ideas: Graham Gibbs’s ‘53 Powerful Ideas All Teachers Should Know About‘.
Each post provides fascinating reading and prompts debate about innovation and good practice in higher education. The series began in April 2014 and is currently just over half way through, on idea 28.
Topics range from ‘Many patterns of teaching in HE simply follow conventions’ to, more recently, ‘Students are selectively negligent, and successful students neglect the right stuff’. The range of topics, which Gibbs has covered to date, are thought provoking, and encourage HE practitioners to consider their practices from perspectives which may have been previously unexplored.
